Training Session

Prior to the SAFARI Symposium (February 11^th-13^th, 2010) a training session was held at NIO RC Kochi. The following topics were addressed:

Introduction to Remote Sensing and Fisheries
Practicals: Satellite Data
Ocean Colour Applications for Fisheries
Field Measurements Complementary to Ocean Colour

This event was co-sponsored by SAFARI, NIO RC Kochi, CIFT and IOCCG. This session was directed towards fisheries scientists, oceanographers and students interested in using remote-sensing for ecosystem-based management, including fisheries applications.
